JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Arizona License Required
Board Certification: Required
DEA: Yes
Certifications: ACLS BLS (American Heart Association)
Experience: Minimum 3 years in Cardiothoracic Surgery with EVH
Other Qualifications:
Graduate from an NCCPAapproved Physician Assistant program OR Masters Degree in Nursing
Certified or certificationeligible by the NCCPA OR Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program
Completion of RN/NP First Assistant Program (if applicable)
MedicalSurgical or NP ANCC/AANP Certification
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Cardiothoracic Surgery care in inpatient and operative settings
Perform procedures including temporary pacemaker removal chest tube removal IABP removal and Aline placement
Collaborate with a surgical team to ensure patient safety and highquality care
Document patient encounters accurately using Cerner EMR
Participate in rounding and consultations as required
Provide oncall coverage per scheduled shifts
Assist in emergency surgical interventions when necessary
