PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The ProductEngineering Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and works with theProduct Engineering Department to manage the daytoday engineeringrequirements of the business ensuring that production is sustained and Engineeringduties are fulfilled. This individual isresponsible for solving any engineering issue that comes up during theproduction of the Companys products and to assist in solving other issues thecompany may have during the production of products.
The ProductEngineering Manager will manage develop and lead a team of engineeringprofessionals to meet organizational goals as determined by the Director ofEngineering. The ideal candidate thinks creatively and strategically to executetactical Engineering efforts that support the company brand in the applicablemarket segments the products are sold into.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assign tasks to Engineers and Designers
Keeping focus on high priority tasks that directly impact production shipments
Gauge progress of various product problems and projects
Ensure timely progression and resolution
Communicate effectively with all departments on the technical aspects of the companys products
Positive feedback from department managers on the effectiveness of communications
Support Engineers and Designers with the ECO process.
Smooth and timely of new ECOs and continued success of existing ECOs
Train and mentor Engineers and technical staff
Monitor the moral and growth of all direct reports
Proactively manage direct reports
1:1 employee meeting ensure positive growth and good working environment
Effective Teamwork & Communication
Positive communication in and across departments to drive teamwork and success for the business. Relaying project status and obstacles to manager in a timely manner.
Strong Initiative
Actively seeking solutions to problems and assisting other department personnel
Travel
Travel to existing job sites potential job sites and industry vendor shows such as AFSA and NFPA.
QUALIFICATIONS (previous education andwork experience)
Excellent organizational analytical mathematicalproblemsolving written and verbal communication skills
