Position: Senior Property Accountant
Working hours/Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST
Salary Range:USD / per month depending on experience
Job Summary:
The Senior Property Accountant is accountable for the management of financial records ensuring precise reporting and executing accounting tasks utilizing AppFolio and Yardi Voyager 8 property management software. This role is essential for sustaining the financial integrity of the organization by overseeing the financial operations of the assigned property portfolio. The incumbent will prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records of the assigned portfolio encompassing general ledgers analytical reports external financial reporting annual audit and tax preparation investor distributions and the updating and documentation of accounting procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for multiple properties.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure transactions are accurately coded and reconciled.
- MonthEnd Close: Execute monthend and yearend close procedures ensuring the timely and accurate closing of financial records for all managed properties.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Provide explanations for variances and plan for capital calls as necessary.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Approve payments and review accounts to verify balances align with the general ledger.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and other accounts and address discrepancies promptly.
- Tenant and Lease Accounting: Manage tenant ledgers and billings process lease abstracts collections and lease administration ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease terms.
- CAM Reconciliations: Prepare annual and periodic CAM reconciliations.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits providing required documentation and resolving queries.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and other compliancerelated filings.
- Property Acquisition and Disposition: Conduct accounting processes to facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of properties.
- Distributions: Prepare monthly/quarterly investor distributions including documentation and nonresident tax filings.
- Analysis: Cash on Cash Return and IRR experience is desired but not mandatory.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated analytical problemsolving and communication proficiencies.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite AppFolio and Yardi Voyager 8.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with supervisors and internal teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or a related discipline is mandatory.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant work experience is required.
