Job Description
Mission of the Role
We are looking for you a passionate software engineer with the capability to inspire and coach people to create great software. You have been in the trenches long enough to know that teams can only succeed as a unit in which everyone is part of the solution. That is why you look to pass on your technical excellence to empower as many around you as possible so you can create the best solution to a problem together. You do not see yourself as being attached to a particular programming language but as an inspiring polyglot that welcomes the chance to learn new programming languages best suited for the job.
You will:
- You will be responsible for technical design conforming to the platform architecture quality security and maintainability. While ensuring our solutions stay fit for purpose.
- You will not be doing this alone but with engineers within your squad who you will inspire and lead toward success and other squads across the project.
- You will ensure that work is carried out following the best practices you as a team have set and documented.
- You will also maintain a laser sharp focus on delivery deadlines and combat the natural scope creep to be able to consistently deliver value to our clients on a regular cadence with an appropriate level of quality.
Qualifications :
You have:
- 4.5 years of experience in engineering software of which you spent a great deal being responsible for implementation throughout the entire stack.
- Fluent in JavaScript and Typescript.
- Experience building UIs using modern frameworks (React preferred but experience with other libraries/frameworks like Angular Vue Next.js etc is transferrable).
- Plenty of experience in building REST and/or GraphQL APIs so you know the caveats and (anti)patterns.
- Good understanding of Data layer in Applications SQL Postgres BigQuery and other GCP frameworks.
- Experience working under CI/CD workflows.
- Experience using git and working on a Merge/Pull Request based workflow.
- An open and collaborative mindset both within and outside your team. Interest in helping other engineers become even better.
