Were looking for a talented and passionate Senior Gameplay Programmer (f/m/x) to join our team immediately and help us bring dynamic lifelike movements to our next generation of immersive worlds.
Your Quest:
As a Senior Gameplay Programmer you will be at the forefront of creating engaging and innovative gameplay experiences. You will work seamlessly with our crossfunctional teams and use your technical skills to bring creative concepts to life in the Unreal Engine.
What youll do:
- Design implement and maintain gameplay systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine ensuring performance scalability and stability.
- Collaborate with designers artists and other teams to align gameplay systems with the creative vision of the project.
- Work closely with the Technical Design team to develop the script architecture and share technical knowledge and best practices.
- Debug and resolve technical issues related to gameplay performance networking and system integration.
- Provide mentorship and share technical expertise with team members fostering growth and maintaining coding standards.
- Evaluate and optimize workflows to support sustainable development practices for art audio and gameplay features.
- Stay informed about emerging industry trends and technologies contributing to innovative advancements in game development.
Your Toolkit:
- Proficiency in C programming with a strong understanding of programming principles and system design.
- 4 years of professional experience in gameplay programming using Unreal Engine.
- Experience with gameplay mechanics like AI animation physics or input.
- Proven ability to debug optimize and maintain highperformance scalable game systems.
- Experience working closely with game designers as part of an iterative workflow.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and convey complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated success in shipping at least one premium title with a passion for creating engaging and polished gameplay experiences.
You Get Extra XP For:
- Familiarity with additional programming languages like C# or Python especially within the context of game development.
- Experience contributing to opensource projects or releasing independent game projects.
- Knowledge of AI systems including behavior trees and decisionmaking frameworks or animation systems and their integration with gameplay.
- Crossplatform development experience with a focus on optimizing for multiple platforms.
- A strong passion for gaming coupled with a drive to stay informed about industry trends and advancements.
