Job Description Administers Roentgen rays. Operates CT equipment; interfaces with various computer systems including the electronic medical records and PACs systems. Prepares exam rooms equipment supplies and prepares/administers appropriate medications according to hospital policy. Minimum Education: Graduate of an AMAapproved school in radiography. Preferred Education: Associate degree in radiography Required Certification/Registration: Licensed by IEMA/Registered by ARRT. American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS CPR Preferred Experience: One year of Xray CT or MRI experience or a completed CT accredited program. Preferred Certification/Registration: ARRT(CT) Environmental/Working Conditions: Subject to electrical biohazards and radiant energy hazards. Regular exposure to infectious agents through daily contact and care of patients who use the medical center services. Required Protective Clothing: Eye and face protection. Gowns and use of gloves both sterile and non sterile gloves. Radiation protective clothing and radiation monitoring device.
