JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Cardiologist (NonInvasive)

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Fort Myers FL

Service Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule 8:00a 5:00p; weekend and weekday shifts available

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults

Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 10 15 patients per day

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Case Mix: General adult cardiology

FACILITY INFORMATION

Specialty Backup Available: Interventional Cardiologist support

Support Staff Available: Advanced Practice Providers (APRNs PAs)

Reason for Coverage: Temporary coverage during spring 2025

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 30 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General noninvasive cardiology procedures (logs must show at least 50 patients treated in the past 12 months)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Florida medical license

Certifications: Board Certified in Cardiology

Experience: Must demonstrate active cardiology practice for at least 50 patients in the past 12 months at an accredited facility

Other Qualifications: Clean background and NPDB; no telehealth; must meet all procedure log requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide general cardiology services including hospital rounds and outpatient care

Collaborate with Advanced Providers and interventional cardiologist backup

Deliver care in accordance with Lee Health protocols across inpatient and outpatient settings
