Job Description
Location: ACT and remote

Key duties and responsibilities:
Candidates will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to design and develop product enhancements new features user flows interfaces and frontend solutions. You will work closely with your team to define usercentric designs iterating and improving them based on user feedback to add value. Your responsibilities will include creating userfocused UI designs specifying user flows developing prototypes and crafting highfidelity interfaces. You will also plan and conduct user experience evaluations to ensure that usability and accessibility requirements are met. In your frontend development role you will implement UI components using HTML CSS and JavaScript while collaborating with user researchers and designers to translate usability testing insights into design improvements. As a UI Designer you ll solve complex design challenges transforming them into intuitive user flows wireframes and prototypes. As a FrontEnd Developer you ll work with fellow developers to translate designs POCs and wireframes into highquality usable code that ensures optimal accessibility outcomes. Candidates should have experience implementing responsive UI components for web applications using HTML/CSS ReactJS and/or Angular as well as proficiency with prototyping tools such as Adobe XD Axure or Figma. A strong understanding of design principles and systems is essential along with familiarity with WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines and their application to websites and applications. This includes knowledge of how visual design page structure and code impact accessibility.
Requirements
Response must be as a onepage pitch addressing the essential criteria:
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in designing user interfaces while adhering to existing style guides or design systems utilising HTML CSS and JavaScript frameworks like ReactJS and/or Angular.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with and influence various stakeholders clearly explaining design decisions through wellreasoned rationale.
- Demonstrated ability to work with teams to translate usability testing results into actionable improvements for user interfaces.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing accessibility requirements specifically Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA at a minimum.
Desirable Criteria:
- Proven experience in designing wireframes user interfaces and interactive prototypes with a strong focus on detail and the ability to prototype test quickly and refine designs.
- A tertiary qualification in a design or computer science/ICTrelated field (e.g. Human Factors Communication/Graphic Design Systems Design Psychology HumanComputer Interaction Web Development etc..
