The RecordtoReport (RTR) team is dedicated to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance playing a crucial role in the financial health of the organization. We collaborate to streamline processes and deliver insights that drive informed decisionmaking.
Get to know the Role:
You will be reporting to Senior Finance Manager and you will oversee the performance controls and compliance of the General Ledger and Reporting Team. You will monitor processes ensure that service delivery aligns with established SLAs and KPIs. Additionally you will provide clear leadership to your team contributing to the Finance Ops Support and Services strategy and making a significant impact on our operational success.
This role is based onsite in our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will lead the preparation of consolidated financial reporting for Grab affiliates to ensure timely and accurate results per corporate statutory and IFRS requirements.
- You will oversee the application of new or updated corporate statutory IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- You will provide financial expertise and problemsolving skills to support sound analysis and recommendations in corporate finance activities.
- You will ensure all workstreams including GL Cash & Bank fixed assets and InterCo comply with policies and regulatory requirements including identifying impaired assets.
- You will implement inventory accounting policies and internal controls in line with IFRS and statutory requirements.
- You will maintain the integrity of monthly financial statements through detailed account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- You will manage the monthly balance sheet review process for Grab entities.
- You will be the main contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and yearend audits.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Bachelors degree in finance/accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in RTR GL and reporting processes with indepth knowledge of legal/regulatory requirements
- At least 3 years of team management experience in SSC or GBS environment.
- Understanding of main interfaces and impact of SSC initiatives on other departments such as Country Finance FP&A Procurement Treasury SOX Audit etc.
- Understanding of International Accounting Standards and Statutory Accounting Requirement and experience in implementing accounting changes.
- Knowledge of country and IFRS accounting requirements and sound analytical skills required to resolve accounting issues.
- Experience in managing transitions and process improvement projects.
- Experienced in Oracle ERP / Oracle Fusion will be at advantage.
