Position: Program Director Integrated Team
40hrs: MonFri (Flexible Hours)
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department/Division: Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS)
Supervised by: Vice President
General Statement of Duties: Provides administrative and clinical leadership supervision and direction to the ACCS Integrated Team including Supervised Group Living Environments (GLEs). Provide oncall coverage through established rotation. Provide coordination of crisis intervention as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Utilize recovery principals in partnership with Persons and members of the Integrated Team/Supervised GLEs to improve Persons health and wellness; achieve symptom stabilization and selfmanagement; develop and/or restore skills impacted by their mental illness; live a selfdirected life; and strive to reach their full potential.
2. Provide the staff and Persons with a vision about the importance and inevitability of achieving goals through the recovery process.
3. Ensure that a culture of quality is maintained by using evidencebased and other best practices within the services being provided.
4. Increase the level of involvement and decisionmaking by persons served in their treatment planning and in service delivery. Document interventions provided to persons served on required service note.
5. Oversee and supervise the daily management and operation of the ACCS Integrated Team/Supervised GLEs.
6. Facilitate enrollments and discharges per DMH regulations.
7. Oversee development and implementation of comprehensive assessments treatment plans and discharge plans.
8. Coordinate treatment and services with all Persons Served Care Coordination Entities Mass Rehabilitation Commission and behavioral and physical health providers.
9. Ensure the quality of Persons care throughout the program with an emphasis on issues of health and safety. Collaborate on the development and implementation of person served Risk and Safety Plans as needed.
10. Oversee the quality of clinical record systems related to program licensing requirements.
11. Work cooperatively with referral and collateral sources to evaluate and coordinate the appropriate admission and treatment of all Persons referred to the program.
12. Oversee the Department of Public Healths (DPH) Medication Administration Program (MAP) policies for assigned sites which include but are not limited to training requirements medication administration medication security and corresponding documentation.
13. Coordinate oversee and participate in activities of the multidisciplinary team.
14. Recruit interview and select program employees and complete and process required personnel documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
15. Provide ongoing supervision feedback and guidance to direct reports complete orientation and annual performance reviews.
16. Oversee scheduling and accurate timekeeping for assigned sites.
17. Accountable for ongoing policy development ensuring that program staff adhere to established program and agency policies and procedures.
18. Oversee and provide ongoing documented training and professional development for program staff.
19. Ensure ongoing program compliance with regulatory standards such as BAMSI QM DMH CARF and DPH.
20. Oversee physical plant maintenance by inspecting assigned sites quarterly reporting issues promptly arranging for needed repairs ensuring proper housekeeping and interacting with landlords as required.
21. Act as liaison to DMH for contract monitoring issues.
22. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of service delivery at the program.
23. Assume oncall responsibilities as assigned.
24. Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.
25. Follow funder and agency protocol for reporting significant incidents and alleged abuse and/or neglect.
26. Transport persons served as needed.
27. Monitor program expenditures in accordance with contract allocations.
28. Ensure accurate accounting for all program monies according to agency policy for grocery accounts vehicle gas petty cash and BAMSI credit card.
29. Attend all required trainings and demonstrate continued growth and competency. Obtain and maintain required training within allotted time frames.
30. Perform duties to reflect agency/program policies and procedures.
31. Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA): Registered Nurse Licensed Psychologist Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Licensed Clinical Social Worker Registered Occupational Therapist Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Experience in the mental health field with persons who have been diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness.
Five years of supervisory experience in a health or human service setting.
Demonstrated ability to function independently at a high level of competence.
Must possess a valid drivers license in state of residence and have own means of transportation.
Ability to speak and write English clearly and accurately to keep documentation up to date and understandable.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with persons served families service providers and funding source personnel.
Basic computer literacy including the ability to record data use electronic medical records use electronic time and attendance software and receive and send electronic mail is required.
Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
Preference given to candidates with lived experience and fluency in languages prevalent in Southeastern MA.
