Senior Project Manager
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Project Director the Senior Project Manager oversees and manages all aspects of large commercial construction projects; including but not limited to subcontracts billings payment applications and all modifications to the project. Responsible for delivering a completed project on time and within specified budget.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the training coaching and mentoring of project staff.
- Oversees a project team to ensure projects are completed on time on budget and to specifications.
- Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise work experience and time constraints.
- Completes performance reviews regularly and in a timely manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Considered a subject matter expert in multiple areas of the construction process.
- Fosters healthy and professional level relationships with coworkers subcontractors and project owners.
- Ability to oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
- Is involved in project planning budgeting and identification of resources needed.
- Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold or attend regular status meetings with project team and all stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project documentation including but not limited to: progress reports submittals invoicing purchase orders schedules RFIs subcontracts change orders and associated logs.
- Lead regular project meetings with clients architects engineers
- Manage construction process for multiple projects. Manages or is responsible for the understanding and allocating financial aspects of each project.
- Effective communication with superintendents clients subcontractors and management.
- Identify and mitigate risk associated with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Edit and approval of subcontractor’s scope of work.
- Travel to the project preconstruction sites and the project sites during the construction process for site inspections/visits.
- Addresses questions concerns and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Ensures compliance with federal state local industry contractual and company regulations standards specifications and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field which may include Construction Management Business or Engineering
- 10 years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
