Job Description
A highly successful and wellestablished coeducational independent school in the picturesque Richmond area seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry for a fulltime permanent position commencing in September. About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a clear focus on Chemistry principles and concepts.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate practical investigations data analysis and realworld applications of chemistry.
- Assess student progress through lab reports presentations and written assessments providing constructive feedback to enhance their understanding of chemistry.
- Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives to promote excellence in science education.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a strong background and specialism in Chemistry.
- A good understanding of the secondary science curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Chemistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex chemical concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Strong practical skills and experience in laboratory work with a commitment to ensuring student safety.
