PlannerPal is the AI assistant built for financial advisers. Were a UKbased VCbacked wealthtech startup on a mission to reshape wealth management with AIdriven tools that save time reduce admin and help advisers and their teams focus on their clients.
Our product is already used by hundreds of advisory firms and growing fast.
Were looking for a midlevel fullstack developer to help us build intuitive powerful tools for financial advisers everything from meeting transcription and document generation to CRM updates and AIpowered workflows.
As an early member of the engineering team youll be handson with everything from product development to architectural decisions. Youll work closely with the founding team contribute to the roadmap and have a direct impact on the future of the company.
Tasks
- Design and build the front end and orchestration layer of generative AI products for the IFA and wealth management industry. We use Vue/Nuxt.js on the front end and Node/Sails.js in our orchestration layer and MongoDB as our main database
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the PlannerPal engineering team specifically our UKbased AI engineering team and our offshore development team
- Collaborate closely with the firms founders on shaping the product roadmap
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related Developer Education (e.g. a reputable coding bootcamp)
- 2 years experience of designing developing shipping and maintaining backend applications using Node/Sails.js and front endweb applications using modern javascript frameworks (ideally Vue/Nuxt.js)
- Has experience of working with both MongoDB and AWS hosting and backend services (e.g. Cognito S3 SES)
- Has experience of designing building and maintaining automated continuous integration tests
- Has experience of working with other developers in an agile setup
- Has experience of debugging and fixing live incidents in a timepressured situation
- Has experience building automated continuous deployment pipelines
- Ideally has experience of building both front end code that matches precisely whats in a Figma design and improvising based on the user story and a sites design language
- Has a strong understanding of industry trends and development best practices especially regarding security and application performance
- Has a strong sense of ownership attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a teamoriented work ethic
- Has strong communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration
- Is proactive initiates and offers assistance even without being asked
