Job Description
Who We Are
Classroom and special area teachers deliver direct instruction in their assigned curriculum areas aligned with New York State Learning Standards and tailored to the individual strengths and challenges of each student. In their classrooms teachers create a highly structured safe and therapeutic environment that promotes cognitive social emotional and physical development giving each student the opportunity to achieve success.
- Create lesson plans and provide instruction in music for grades K12.
- Implement accommodations as set forth in IEP s and 504 plans for students who present with emotional social and behavioral challenges.
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment that meets the needs of students and that fosters growth and success.
- Complete required reports and documents in a timely manner meeting standards of content and professional presentation.
- Be an essential member and active participant of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attend and participate in all required meetings trainings and professional development opportunities.
- Employees are expected to perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- New York State Teacher Certification in music required
- NYS Teacher Certification preferred
- Candidates on a path to NYS Teacher Certifications or those with outofstate teacher certification will be considered.
- Teaching experience is a plus
