Job Description

Key duties and responsibilities:
As a .Net Developer the role involves developing and maintaining Azurebased web API and portal applications to support both existing legislative reporting requirements and new regulatory processes. The developer will integrate various system components to provide a seamless endtoend user experience while offering technical advice on systems development issues. Secure coding practices will be applied to ensure the robustness and security of delivered solutions and peer reviews of code and infrastructure will be conducted. A solid understanding of detailed application architecture documents is required for coding alongside ensuring adherence to best practices and departmental standards. The developer will also be responsible for creating and reviewing technical and release documentation effectively communicating with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders and collaborating within an agile crossfunctional team. Mentoring team members promoting a culture of learning collaboration and continuous improvement and supporting professional development through crossskilling are key aspects of the role. Additional duties may be required as needed.
Requirements
Response must be as a onepage pitch addressing the essential criteria:
Essential Criteria:
- Technical Skills: Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in implementing secure webbased business solutions including developing web APIs using Azure API Manager and customerfacing web portals with .NET Framework (including .NET Core) and ASP. Experience with web application development using Angular or React is also required. Candidates should be familiar with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and its controls with the ability to apply them to solution design and development. Additionally experience with unit integration and automation testing including familiarity with tools like xUnit nUnit Selenium and Playwright is necessary.
- Cloud Experience: Demonstrated expertise in implementing cloudbased solutions including working with Azure Logic Apps Azure SQL Azure Service Bus and Azure API Manager. Experience using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio for code development version control and CI/CD deployments is essential. Candidates should also have experience integrating custom applications with thirdparty systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. Extensive development experience on Azure platforms is required along with proven success in optimising complex legacy code to leverage Azure Cloud capabilities fully.
- Agile Experience: Experience collaborating with Agile multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure userfriendly and reliable solutions that meet the expectations of stakeholders citizens and businesses. The ability to adapt to changes in direction and scope as new information arises or when challenges or opportunities emerge is essential.
- Cultural Fit: Strong ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and engage with both technical and nontechnical staff at all levels. A collaborative approach with the capacity to mentor team members and promote team cohesion is also crucial for the role.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in development using Agile and DevOps delivery models
- Experience developing web applications using either Angular or React
- Integration/UI/FrontEnd testing: Selenium Playwright Jest
- Tertiary qualifications in software design and development and experience working with SQL servers Cosmos DB Blob storage and highvolume data traffic/processing.
