Job Description

  • Receive referrals from Vocational Rehabilitation youth clients ages 14 to 24.
  • Refer potential youth to Vocational Rehabilitation as needed.
  • Refer customers to the most appropriate work utilizing information provided by Vocational Rehabilitation.
  • Track and monitor each youths progress during participation.
  • Refer client to Vocational Rehabilitation for support services.
  • Monitor and update weekly reports on each client effectively throughout the duration of their participation.
  • Contact Vocational Rehabilitation if problems occur with assigned employment.
  • Update and ensure documentation is current accurate and thorough. 
  • Maintain working relationship with Concho Valley Workforce Development Board Workforce Solutions and Vocational Rehabilitation.
  • Conduct Worksite Visits.
  •  Assess work readiness skills of participants.
  •  Conducts activities to enhance motivation and improve communication skills.
  •  Assists with workshops and teaching of job readiness skills and life skills related to attainment of preemployment competencies.
  •  Administers tests to measure participant competency of program components.
  •  Assists all participants in job search barrier resolution and worklife balance management.
  •  Maintains time and attendance records for all participants.
  •  Ensures that all participants adhere to all center guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to use personal computer.
  • Ability to interact with adolescent clients daily via facetoface and/or phone. 
  • Commitment to customerfocused service delivery system and professional experience in case management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills excellent written and verbal communication. 
  • A valid drivers license with good driving record and dependable private vehicle for moderate travels from location to location. 
  • Ability to work in conjunction with others to overcome obstacles for goal attainment of the client.
  • Outstanding organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Undergraduate degree in education or related field or proven experience as an instructor

Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in youth development

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective youthadult partnerships

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in training design and approach

Ability to present complex information to a team with varied skill sets

Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative relationships with diverse groups Excellent writing speaking and analytical skills

Strong selfmotivation: ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities

Experience in curriculum development implementation and instruction

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Business Suite preferred
