The candidate will work on developing advanced techniques for the assessment of white matter microstructure using diffusion MRI and explore biological relationships between white matter damage and other pathophysiological abnormalities in the brain measured using neuroimaging in neurodegenerative disease. The role will involve writing manuscripts for publication and presentation of results at National and International conferences. Candidate should have experience in neuroimaging research and ideally with diffusion MRI.
A Research Fellow in Health Service Research (HSR) is based on a role and responsiblities that focus on health care policy and cutting edge research to design develop and test strategies that transform patient care and outcomes. Research may be interchangeable with Epidemiology but only in the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peerreviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J1 ShortTerm Scholars Research Scholars Professors Specialists and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Must have a Ph.D. M.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.
