Position Title:Intermediate Technology Specialist Digital Developer
Reports To:Senior Technology Manager Information Security
Department:Information Security
Term:Temporary FullTime Nine 9 Month Contract
Work Arrangements:This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two 2 assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth 5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you will be doing:
- Build and support mobile and web applications using React .NET and JavaScript
- In an Agile set up you will work closely with product owners and platform gurus to develop alternative solutions to meet business needs
- Analyze production system problems and recommend workable solutions
- Investigate and solve production problems with minimal to no guidance
- Support the implementation of corporate policies standards and procedures that provide effective architecture governance and management of Equitables technical systems and solution
- Collaborate with Business and IT roles on the solution design development and quality management of shared infrastructure systems and applications across organizational functions
- Work with internal and external teams to increase client satisfaction by improving the quality of systems and products through identification of issues ongoing maintenance and implementation of solutions
- Perform handson configuration and troubleshooting of components including the maintenance upgrading or replacement of hardware and/or application software
- Assist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality standards
- Inspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficiencies
- Monitor capacity usage and performance of assigned technologies to assure operational availability and process integrity
- Provide technical guidance to peers and/or endusers regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutions
What you will bring:
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code applied to DevOps DevSecOps.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices
- Understanding of architectural concepts
- Coding experience in frameworks languages and database technologies utilized or emerging at Equitable
- Experience with tools and development frameworks utilized or emerging at Equitable
- Demonstrated knowledge of web/mobile design and objectoriented programming practices
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 3year experience with React
- Prominent level of proficiency in .NET/C#
- Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience in Mobile web development and Azure portal
- Significant knowledge in HTML5 CSS Ajax
- Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful services
- Experience with JSON and XML
- Experience with Microservices architecture
- Experience with Microsoft IIS
- Hands on experience using testing frameworks for both client and server code (i.e. NUnit Jasmine etc.
- Hands on experience in Azure Cloud and devops developing and deploying CI/CD release pipeline
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with ORMs like Entity Framework is an asset
- Experience with package managers (e.g. npm bower) an asset
- Experience with CMS platform like Kentico and Umbraco is an asset
- Experience leading other developers on projects; task and priority setting working with business partners etc.
