Job Description
The Head Mens Basketball Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of the mens basketball program at McMurry University. This includes recruitment coaching player development and administrative responsibilities. The coach is expected to uphold the mission of McMurry University and ensure compliance with all university American Southwest Conference and NCAA Division III policies and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field. Two to three years of coaching experience at the college level or significant experience coaching at the high school or club level. Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain studentathletes in a competitive academic environment. Strong communication leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals within the university and community. Commitment to the academic and personal development of studentathletes.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field. Three to five years of collegelevel coaching experience. Experience competing or coaching at the NCAA Division III level. Knowledge of NCAA Division III recruiting regulations.
