What You’ll Do
As a Data Engineer you’ll take the reins on a fastpaced migration of DBT models ensuring compatibility performance and excellence in a rapidly evolving data infrastructure. Your SQL mastery and collaborative spirit will keep this project on track and set the stage for longterm success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert Redshift and Snowflake SQL syntax to Trinocompatible code within DBT models.
- Refactor and optimize data models to meet Iceberg best practices delivering speed and precision.
- Manage version control of DBT models using Git for seamless teamwork.
- Align Tableau assets with the new infrastructure collaborating with workbook owners to validate results.
- Join daily standups syncing with engineers to crush migration priorities.
- Bridge engineering and analytics teams with clear communication and stellar solutions.
Who You Are
You’re a data dynamo who loves a challenge and excels under tight timelines. With a solid foundation in data engineering and a passion for fintech you’re ready to hit the ground running and make these four months count.
MustHave Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science Information Systems Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years in a data engineering BI or analytics role.
- 1 years in financial services or SaaS—you get the stakes and the pace.
- Handson DBT expertise including model development macros and Jinja templating.
- Strong SQL proficiency across Redshift Snowflake and Trino (Iceberg).
- Git version control skills—because collaboration is nonnegotiable.
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau and building reliable data sources.
- Topnotch communication to guide stakeholders through change.
- Bonus: Startup experience where you’ve thrived in highspeed settings.
