Maintenance Technician 100 6 months contract

Microcaps is a fastpaced vibrant company dedicated to shaping the future of microencapsulation technology across multiple industries. Join our talented team to work on cuttingedge process technology and help bring our first products to market.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team of engineers and process enthusiasts. We develop manufacture and run production equipment for the cosmetics food and pharma market to provide high quality products for our customers and consumers. Our team is currently working on scaling up our first commercial production plant to bring products to market in the Fine Fragrance sector. Our product has the potential to reshape this industry.

The Impact

As a Maintenance Technician at Microcaps you will play a crucial role in repairing and troubleshooting of mechatronic mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems and assisting with internal commissioning and acceptance of production machinery. This role will be based in our production site in Worben Kt. BE fixed for an initial 6 months period with the possibility of extension to a more permanent role.

Tasks

  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team that develops assembles tests and commissions novel process equipment for microencapsulation processes.
  • Immediately start to work on the maintenance of our production machinery.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and the Production team and support them as needed.

  • Proactive approach to tasks and problems.

Requirements

  • Completed training in a technical profession (e.g. electronics technician electrician mechanic mechatronics technician industrial mechanic).
  • Several years of professional experience in technical service or a comparable position.
  • Valid driving licence class B.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering mechanics pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of technical systems and machines.
  • Basic knowledge of building services engineering (heating ventilation air conditioning water supply).
  • Confident handling of common measuring instruments and tools.
  • Basic IT knowledge and experience with computeraided maintenance systems.

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of the relevant safety regulations and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • First aid knowledge.
  • Willingness to participate in regular trainings and education.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (GMP food).
  • Work permit for Switzerland.
