Job Description
We are hiring a Litigation Associate to join our direct clients legal team. This role offers an opportunity to work with a highly respected law firm that specializes in business litigation corporate transactions real estate matters insolvency and whitecollar defense & internal investigations. The firm is dedicated to unraveling complex legal and business challenges helping clients achieve their strategic goals efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be a detailoriented strategic thinker with strong litigation skills capable of handling complex disputes for a diverse client base including startups Fortune 500 companies private and public corporations investment partnerships government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle a broad range of business litigation matters including commercial disputes corporate governance issues and contract litigation.
- Conduct legal research draft pleadings motions and memoranda and manage discovery processes.
- Represent clients in court hearings depositions arbitrations and mediations.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
- Advise clients on legal risks and business strategies providing clear and practical guidance.
- Assist in internal investigations and whitecollar defense matters as needed.
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the firms business development efforts.
- Juris Doctor (J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- 25 years of experience in litigation preferably in business or commercial litigation.
- Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Experience handling depositions court proceedings and settlement negotiations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a clientfocused approach.
