You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs the Sales Manager for Government and Embassies you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to attract government entities embassies and diplomatic missions to Mercure Nairobi Upperhill. You will foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the government and embassy sectors manage tender processes and ensure that our hotel services meet the needs of these important clients.
You will work closely with the hotels senior management to implement initiatives that promote Mercure Nairobi Upperhill as the premier venue for government officials embassy staff and other diplomatic professionals.
Lead Generation & Market Research: Identify and pursue sales opportunities within government entities embassies and diplomatic missions.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain longterm relationships with government procurement officers embassy representatives and decisionmakers.
Proposal Development: Coordinate and assist in the preparation of customized proposals and presentations for government tenders and embassy requests.
Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts ensuring compliance with government regulations and international standards.
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategies to penetrate government and embassy markets with a focus on longterm growth.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with legal compliance finance and product teams to ensure contract terms and conditions meet both government and company requirements.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on relevant policies tenders and changes in the government procurement landscape.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance pipeline development and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in sales or business development preferably within the hospitality sector and specifically with government or embassy clients.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes embassy needs and diplomatic protocols.
Exceptional communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong lasting relationships with highlevel stakeholders.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to adapt in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
Bachelors degree in Business Hospitality International Relations or a related field (preferred).
Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).
Previous experience in the Nairobi market is an advantage.
