Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Senior Play Worker on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 17.26 22.45 per Hour

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Play Worker to deliver and supervise highquality play activities for children and young people in playgrounds and parks. You will manage the daytoday operations of an openaccess play facility ensuring a safe engaging and developmental environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of adventure play activities to support childrens personal development.
  • Plan and implement a diverse programme of activities for young people.
  • Promote participation in planning and evaluating activities through consultation groups.
  • Conduct outreach to maximize service uptake and liaise with local schools community groups and residents.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to enhance service provision.
  • Supervise and support up to three play workers ensuring highperformance standards.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Play Work or Youth Work.


Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of child protection safeguarding and health & safety regulations.
  • Experience in planning and delivering adventure play activities.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with children young people and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience supervising staff and managing play settings.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
