Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detailoriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate must have insurance agency experience and must have experience using the agency management system Epic. You will manage fullcycle accounting processes from maintaining accurate financial records handling accounts payable and financial reporting. The accountant/bookkeeper will work closely with management to ensure timely and accurate reporting compliance with GAAP and smooth ongoing financial operations. It is critical that the candidate has experience using Epic.
Key Responsibilities
Record Financial Transactions: Accurately record financial transactions. Maintain the general ledger ensuring all entries are correctly classified and balanced.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring invoices are processed and payments are made on time.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
*A high attention to detail and well organized.
*Dependable and consistent.
*Excellent verbal and written communication.
*Good understanding of accounting concepts and a trial balance.
*Able to identify and communicate areas to gain efficiency or streamline processes.
5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting within an insurance agency.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience
