Job Description
We are seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Rochester New York. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8hour Evening Shift (MondayFriday); 11a7:30p
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $1400 $1640
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments equipment and sterile supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures ensuring proper handling of instruments.
- Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Assist in preparing and draping patients for surgery.
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper labeling.
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in oncall rotation as required.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
- Certifications: Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and hold a current BLS certification.
- Specialty Experience: Must be comfortable assisting in total joint replacement cases.
- Required Expertise: Experience in Ortho Neuro Robotic GYN Urology General and Vascular surgeries.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
