Job Description

Hertz is seeking for a Senior Accountantto join its strongteam inCroatia!
Job Description:
- Receiving and reviewing accounting documentation
- Independently posting incoming and outgoing invoices bank statements travel orders journal entries etc.
- VAT calculation and withholding tax calculation
- Preparing reports for government institutions: Tax Administration Croatian National Bank Croatian Bureau of Statistics Customs Administration and communication with them
- Maintaining the fixed asset register including depreciation and amortization calculations
- Reconciling open items with suppliers and customers
- Participating in monthly quarterly and annual financial closing processes
- Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit documentation
- Performing other accounting tasks as assigned by the employer
Candidate Profile:
- High school or university degree in economics preferably with a certified accountant license
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Good knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
- Familiarity with Croatian Financial Reporting Standards (HSFI); knowledge of IFRS/IAS is an advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software systems
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Excel
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with a strong attention to detail and deadlines
