Job Description
If youre a seasoned professional with a track record of success in transmission engineering and planning then this may be the job for you.
The purpose of this position is to lead WVPAs transmission engineering & planning efforts to support the advancement of the transmission system by delivering reliable and efficient engineering solutions.
- Oversees the transmission planning design and supply chain teams
- Interfaces with WVPA members to coordinate transmission improvements and direct new project development
- Provides industry expertise on transmission planning strategies within transmission regions and RTO processes
- Serves as a transmission representative to outside stakeholders including neighboring utilities economic development leads and other partners
- Drives the development and of transmission engineering design and material standards
- Supports the development of supply chain processes and ensures accurate inventory records
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in engineering or considerable relevant experience in utility planning and/or engineering required
- 15 years progressive experience in substation design transmission line design and/or transmission planning required
- 5 years progressive experience in a supervisory role required
- Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred
