Are you an experienced and motivated Maths Teacher with a passion for curriculum development A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Curriculum Maths Lead to join a thriving school in Derby starting in September 2025. This fulltime permanent position offers the chance to lead the Maths Department while teaching Maths at KS3 KS4 and KS5. With a TLR2B attached to the role this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to take on greater responsibility and lead curriculum innovation.
About the Role:
- Position: Curriculum Maths Lead (TLR2B)
- Location: Derby
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract Type: Fulltime Permanent
- Salary: MPS/UPS TLR2B
- Role: Lead the Maths Department overseeing curriculum development teaching and student outcomes at KS3 KS4 and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Maths Curriculum across KS3 KS4 and KS5 ensuring a coherent challenging and engaging curriculum.
- Support and mentor Maths teachers in their professional development.
- Monitor and improve student progress and outcomes within the department.
- Take the lead on curriculum planning ensuring all students receive highquality teaching and learning experiences.
- Manage the departments resources and ensure the effective implementation of the Maths curriculum.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the schools vision and educational goals.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree in Maths or a related subject.
- QTS or PGCE in teaching.
- Significant experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 with some experience at KS5.
- Proven leadership potential with experience leading a team or department
- A strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
