Job Description
The core responsibility of the Food Assurance Certification US Audit Manager is to oversee and actively manage all elements of the audit process including management of full time and contract auditors from the completion of the scheduling process through the preparation of the package provided to the certification manager for all audit executions.
The Food Assurance Certification US Audit Manager is responsible for the delivery of service for the food assurance audit and certification activities in the United States comprised of food safety and integrity certification; supplier auditing and other aligned assurance services in the food safety market. This generally includes the following:
- Primary accountability for of all audit services from completion of scheduling through ; reporting; corrective action review; and preparation of the certification package in alignment with program requirements.
- Engagement and support for the development documentation implementation and operation of operating procedures presented in SOPs; training; policies and supported by tools.
- Management of all elements of audit report creation and corrective action review consistent with established performance KPIs.
- Develop and manage a team of auditors including full time employees and contractors for food safety and integrity certification and supplier auditing to effectively execute audit and certification services.
- Manage and maintain general auditor competency requirements and work with technical and scheme managers to set and maintain general and scheme specific competency requirements training and competency signoffs.
- Coordinate and lead regular auditor calibration meetings with the support of scheme and technical managers.
- Effectively manage the assigned human resources within the organization including completion of annual performance reviews for all direct reports and coordinate and review annual reviews of all other personnel.
- Understand and effectively communicate all key client requirements and critical success factors for audit .
- Manage audit elements to optimize client satisfaction.
- Support maintenance of accreditations for all USbased certification programs leveraging the developed and implemented management processes.
- Continually keep abreast of latest developments in the industry through attending events networking and industry associations.

- Manages employee relation issues as per company guidelines and with the support of Human Resources
- Verifies that company employment policies and procedures are being followed correctly
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Knowledge Requirements:
- Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation human resources modeling leadership technique production methods and coordination of people and resources.
- Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Technical Knowledge of food safety certification scheme requirements food product and management system accreditation requirements quality management systems general audit processes procedures and best practices
Additional Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Food Quality Business required
- Minimum 5 years experience in managing food auditing activities
- Demonstrated ability to lead businesses in relation to Food Assurance services in a local yet globalized environment
- Demonstrated ability to function in a collaborative environment with knowledge and capabilities to secure appropriate support resources to achieve business goals.
- Strong communication skills
- Out of the box thinker selfmotivated resultdriven and working independently
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Travel is required mostly in the US to a lesser degree in Europe sometimes Asia
