Sensewaves is a leading startup in the utility and energy transition landscape. Sensewaves build Adaptix.Grid one of the most innovative AIpowered software solutions for the analysis of the distribution grid. Based in Paris France the company is deploying their software with utilities all over the world and recently received for their work with clients in the USA the prestigious Emerging Technology Power Player 2024 award by the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA).
Tasks
Job
We are looking for a Data Engineer to help shape the future of our product by developing new data driven functionality and transform customer needs into new use cases. You will have a central position in our team at the crossroads between users projects and our technical team. You will evolve and learn in a stimulating international environment within a fast growing startup. We are looking for people with strong motivation teamwork and creative skills and a taste for initiative interested in actively contributing to the energy transition and net zero carbon initiatives.
Mission:
Key role within the tech team:
- Develop new product functionalities and modules
- Be at the interface between users projects and data scientists
- Develop user interfaces data visualizations and dashboards
- Design workflows
- Collect user feedback and requests and act on it
- Keep our users happy!
Requirements
Profile and experience:
- Master or Ph.D in software engineering data science
- 2 years of experience or more
Skills:
- Data science programming languages (R/Python)
- Data Web visualization technologies (Shiny Dash)
- Data analysis statistics
- Web technologies and frameworks (HTML CSS Javascript etc)
- SQL/NoSQL Databases
- UNIX environments
- Communication reporting presentation skills
- Fluent in English
Bonus points:

- GIS and spatial data analysis
- REST APIs and web services
- Version Control Systems (Git)
