About the role and team
We are looking for a Key Business Developer to build a strong seller lead pipeline in the DACH region (Germany Austria and Switzerland) for Catawikis Collectables business unit. You will convince sellers to offer quality objects via our platform with a specific focus on Collectables (Books Coins Toys Trading Cards etc. and provide prospects with a great onboarding experience. You are responsible for generating sustainable revenue opportunities by turning new sellers into committed and fastgrowing sellers ready to move to Account Management teams.
What youll do
- Identify qualify and develop leads through call email field visit fair visit and experts collaboration
- Identify and reactivate high potential dormant sellers and organic signups
- Qualify inbound leads by working with data and sales tooling
- Facilitate a frictionless pre and postsales experience for new sellers
- Build and nurture strong relationships with new sellers to expand Collectables seller network
- In cooperation with experts quickly learn the important characteristics of categories
- Select and grow highpotential new sellers and handover the best ones to Account Management teams
- Move in sync with Account Managers to develop growth plan for onboarded sellers
Who you are
- Sales mindset with demonstrated in achieving sales targets
- Successful and active networker with ability to establish and nurture relationships with sellers manufacturers and distributors
- Strong negotiation skills
- Problem solving attitude with a data driven approach
- A passion for the online industry or maybe have a collection yourself so that you are able to understand the language of our sellers
- Open to travel on a regular base within Germany and Austria to meet your leads and sellers
- Familiar with G Suite tools (Google sheet slides)
- Experience using a sales CRM (Hubspot or any equivalent) is a plus
- Fluent in German and English
Where youll be
The role is preferably based in Germany with a workfromhome arrangement. It can also be based in our Amsterdam office (Netherlands) with regular field visits to Germany and Austria.

Our Offices and Way of Working
Our vibrant offices in Amsterdam Paris and Lisbon are designed to inspire and connect. Most Catawikians are within commuting distance of one of our offices and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work model. This means we typically ask you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days roughly 40 of your working time to collaborate and connect with your colleagues.
