At Cambrium weve successfully developed two innovative products for the personal care and the polymers market. But were just at the beginning. Our worldclass research team is already working on new products for coatings foams adhesives fiber and other performance materials. We are now gearing up to bring these products to market and scale our operations.

Your role

As a Junior Accountant you will be working in the Strategy and Operations Department reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations. Your job will be to be make sure our accounts are kept well and we always have access to most uptodate numbers. Applying a keen eye for detail you will be enabling the team to take stock of the companys financial health and to generate strategic insights.
The role is 20 hours a week and flexible in terms of hours and location. Ideally you would come to the office twice a week most of the time.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparatory bookkeeping checking expenses are classified correctly and filed appropriately
• Handling the accounting of received purchase orders writing outgoing invoices and making sure VAT is accounted for correctly
• Supporting the Head of Finance & Operations in creating the monthly quarterly and annual reporting together with our tax advisors
• Collating the teams spending cleaning the data and preparing it for budget reviews
• Collecting the relevant information and responding to reporting requests from public funding bodies and investors

Your profile

• Ideally you are a qualified Industriekauffrau/mann.
  Equivalent degrees for example in Business Administration with an Accounting and Finance Focus or ACA ACCA or CIMA qualifications are also considered if an understanding of HGB is evidenced.
• 2 year post qualification work experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• Experience with DATEV. Experience with other expense management software is a
• plus
• Advanced Excel/Spreadsheet skills
• Outstanding eye for detail and meticulous work attitude
• Fluent in German and English (English is our office language)
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Passionate about Cambriums mission and excited to bring new innovative molecules to market
