As a Staff Backend Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for designing developing and optimizing our backend architecture. You will lead the development of scalable highquality software while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration with frontend and other system components.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices.
- Drive technical decisions and define best practices for backend architecture.
- Implement clean maintainable and welldocumented code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers product managers and designers to develop integrated solutions.
- Optimize system performance scalability and reliability.
- Ensure a high level of security and data protection.
- Utilize cloud technologies and DevOps tools to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Participate in code reviews technical discussions and mentoring of junior developers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software software development including at least 2 years in a tech leadership or a similar role
- Proficiency in at least one backendrelated programming language and at least one scripting language with Python being highly preferred.
- Expert knowledge in backend development and cloud architectures.
- Proficient in developing and deploying microservices in distributed environments with a strong understanding of DevOps principles and processes.
- Practical experience and good knowledge of EventDriven Architectures and Systems
- Proven experience with NoSQL and RDBMS databases.
- Strong understanding of modern data science principles and tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience with fullstack development.
- Proficiency in two backendrelated programming languages
- Expertise in DevOps practices and tools such as Docker Kubernetes and Jenkins.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in coaching and developing junior team members.
