Job Description

The Treasury & Agencies Accountant plays a key role in keeping NPDLs financial engine running smoothly! Working alongside the Group Treasury and Agencies Manager this dynamic position ensures seamless treasury operations while driving improvements in financial reporting across NPDLs extensive agency network in the Pacific.

Here is what you will be doing:

Treasury Keeping Finances Flowing!

  • Own the weekly Group Cash Forecast ensuring accurate insights by Monday COB with sharp analysis of actuals vs. projections.
  • Drive realtime cash visibility ensuring material entities update forecasts daily and others at least weekly.
  • Maximize financial efficiency by promptly depositing NPDL Group excess cash with Global Treasury.
  • Keep finances in check by reconciling all bank accounts at least weekly.
  • Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled and eliminated (BS & P&L) by WD2.
  • Maintain a biweekly Bank Balance Report ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Keep the NPDL Bank Account Register up to date including authorized signatories.
  • Provide critical financial insights and support to senior management.
  • Take on other exciting challenges as directed!

Agency Support Strengthening Our Network!

  • Assist NPDL Finance in executing the Annual Dividend program.
  • Play a key role in company secretarial duties supporting agencies with Board meetings and preparations.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial deep dives for the MD Commercial & Sales including AR drilldowns and working capital analysis.
  • Keep agencies on track with scorecard maintenance and coordination.
  • Drive financial planning by supporting the agency budgeting process managing file exchanges and reviewing firstcut inputs.
  • Take on additional impactful projects as needed!

  • 2 years of handson senior cash management & liquidity expertise with a sharp focus on multicurrency cash forecasting.
  • Master of intercompany management ensuring seamless handling of intercompany positions.
  • Cash forecasting pro with advanced modeling skills to keep financial planning on point.
  • Strong working capital management ensuring optimal cash flow and efficiency.
  • Detailobsessed catching the small things that make a big difference.
  • Power Excel & PowerPoint user leveraging data and visuals to drive insights.
  • Multitasker & adaptable thriving in a dynamic fastmoving environment.
  • Getitrightthefirsttime mindset with precision and accuracy in .

  • Expert in bestpractice cash management bringing knowledge of industryleading processes.

  • HFM Hyperion Essbase & Oracle Financials experience.
  • Background in reporting to an overseas parent company (US preferred).
  • ERP implementation expertise bringing systems to life.
  • FBAR reporting experience a valuable compliance skill.
  • Experience in Shared Service Centre (SSC) environments navigating complex operations.
  • Strong corporate finance & capital structure understanding making informed strategic decisions.
  • Collaboration pro excelling in diverse project teams.
  • Power BI & financial report writing skills turning data into actionable insights.
  • International tax knowledge including transfer pricing.
  • Experience with multilateral netting solutions streamlining financial settlements.
  • Understanding of letters of credit & bank guarantees ensuring financial security.
  • International M&A exposure adding value to growth strategies.

This is a fulltime permanent role based in our Parnell office. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or PreEmployment Drug Test.
