Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wonderful Scholar for full time internship. In this position you will gain hands on professional experience and learn how the department runs.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Safety Project work includes:
- Safety Form Development take existing safety forms and enter Enablon Safety Database.
- Fulcrum Perform safety observations and enter results into Fulcrum.
- Perform first aid kit and fire extinguisher inspections.
- Support additional safety project needs
- Learn about all components of a safety program including: safety training accident investigation employee coaching and facility/jobsite inspections.
Work environment/conditions: Combination office/field work; Orchard conditions are extreme with summer temperatures regularly exceeding 100 F.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge shall and/ or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a Wonderful Scholar in Sophomore Junior or senior year of college.
- Enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with studies focused on Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Compliance Business Administration Human Resources or related field
- Must be 18 years of age.
SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Selfdirected and able to work autonomously.
- Energetic and able to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Ability to write and present reports as requested.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Computer Proficient in Word and Excel and use of the internet.
LICENCES:
- CA Valid Drivers License.
Pay rate: $18.50/hr.
