Job Description
Position: Mobile Application Developer
Location: Maryland
Key Required Skills:
Building modern mobile applications that seamlessly integrate with legacy COBOL and Java backend systems while utilizing the latest technologies such as Swift Flutter Kotlin Vue 3 and React Native.
Position Description:
Develop & Maintain Mobile Applications:
o Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
o Develop native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
o Build crossplatform mobile applications using React Native and Flutter.
Backend Integration with Legacy Systems:
o Integrate mobile apps with existing COBOLbased and Javabased backend systems
o Collaborate with backend teams to build RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints that interact with legacy systems
o Design API gateways to expose COBOL and Java services to modern mobile platforms.
CrossPlatform Mobile Development:
o Write reusable clean and modular code for React Native and Flutter to ensure efficient development of crossplatform mobile apps.
o Work with native modules when necessary for integrating mobilespecific features not available in crossplatform libraries
Collaborate with UI/UX Designers
o Work with UI/UX teams to implement intuitive and responsive designs that meet user requirements and align with mobile platform guidelines.
o Ensure the UI responsiveness and consistency across both iOS and Android devices
Optimize Mobile Applications:
o Use performance profiling tools (Xcode Instruments Android Profiler) to identify and fix bottlenecks in both native and crossplatform apps.
o Implement best practices for memory management and app performance optimization.
Testing & Quality Assurance
o Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and robustness.
o Implement automated testing for mobile applications with frameworks such as Jest XCTest or Flutter Test.
CI/CD Pipeline Integration:
o Set up CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Bitrise to automate builds testing and deployment for mobile applications.
Security & Compliance:
o Implement secure communication protocols (HTTPS) OAuth authentication and data encryption for mobile apps
o Ensure mobile apps comply with security standards and insurance industry regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA
(Basic Qualifications)
Bachelors 12 years of experience in the IT industry with mobile development background 18 years in lieu of a degree)
Experience with Legacy System Integration and API development.
Experience with the following tools and frameworks: Version Control Cloud Services CI/CD and Testing/Debugging.
Experience with CrossPlatform Developer.
Experience with UI/UX Design Integration.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
*** Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite in Woodlawn MD 5 days a week.

Strong knowledge of state management (Provider Riverpod) in Flutter.
Experience with Redux for state management and React Navigation for navigation within mobile apps.
Familiarity with Vuex for state management and Vue Router for routing.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with crossfunctional teams (designers backend developers etc..
Education:
