The Economic Control Manager will collaborate closely with the Propulsion System (PRS) Program Economic Manager (PEM) Family Manager (FM) and Subsystem Technical Manager (SSTM) in overseeing spending control and analysis for the PRS program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Family Manager/SSTM on rollup cost estimation offering guidance and inputs.
- Provide direction on PRS spending forecasts to the PEM Family Managers and SSTM reviewing and releasing the forecast to the Vehicle Economic Management Office (VEMO).
- Conduct monthly variance analysis in spending and provide financial recommendations.
- Deliver training on rollup cost response and spending forecast.
- Release monthly spending reports commitments and Purchase Order (PO) status.
- Coordinate activities within PRS and with external stakeholders.
- Coordinate/update PO status with the Program Planning Team (PPT).
- Maintain data management for PRS spending forecasts.
Qualifications :
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Engineering accredited by ABET or an equivalent accreditation.
- Minimum of 4 years experience with demonstrated excellence in the automotive industry.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with financial management tools such as SAP is a plus.
- Data management experience is also a plus.
- Preference for experience in PRS.
Additional Information :
This position requires frequent travel to Auburn Hills MI. Must be a Canadian citizen. Eligibility for the TN Visa is necessary.
