About RAAC Rapid Access Addictions Clinic (St Pauls):

About Crosstown Clinic:
Crosstown Clinic is a pioneering leader in substance use treatment recognized as the first clinic in North America to offer diacetylmorphine (prescription to individuals with severe substance dependence for whom conventional treatments have proven ineffective. About 8A:
The Urban Health Acute Care Unit 8A) at St. Pauls Hospital is a 24 bed unit that provides acute hospital care for patients with infectious diseases addiction HIV/AIDS and chronic/acute illness associated with marginalization. The unit provides a muchneeded multidisciplinary service which is patientcentred traumainformed and includes a progressive harm reduction approach to addictions management. The care team is particularly experienced in the management of infections among marginalized patients who are often underhoused and with few community supports.
The role:
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager or Resident Care Manager and working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia. The LPN functions as an independent practitioner while recognizing situations such as increased patient acuity or care that falls outside the scope of an LPN as appropriate for accessing the RN/RPN for collaborative support and/or clinical intervention.
