The Accountant plays a crucial role in the efficient management of the Hotels overall finance functions. This position demands unwavering attention to maintaining high financial standards management information and controls in strict accordance with Hotel needs and statutory requirements.
- Assume full responsibility for all revenues received and dispersed in all departments under direct supervision.
- Oversee and direct the work of all employees in assigned departments with utmost diligence.
- Manage the closing of books at financial month/year end with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure timely preparation of all required financial data without exception.
- Provide critical assistance to the Financial Controller in all financial affairs including the meticulous preparation of Financial Reports forecasts and other related areas.
- Report directly to the Financial Controller and act as the authoritative representative during the Financial Controllers absence in respective areas.
- Engage in professional interactions with all Departments Tax Office External and Internal Auditors clients suppliers and consultants (e.g. EDP PABX) to maintain the highest standards of financial integrity.
- Collaborate with T&C to prepare and rigorously crosscheck payroll before processing payments to Heartists.
- Conduct thorough audits of CPF submission overtime incentives and other payrollrelated matters to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
- Verify and ensure completion of all relevant daytoday transactions for review and signature by the Financial Controller and General Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of specialized statistics as required by local Management Hotel Owning Office Asset Managers or the Accor Head Office with utmost precision.
- Deputise for the Financial Controller during absences requiring comprehensive knowledge of the Financial Controllers job description to execute those responsibilities effectively.
- In conjunction with the Financial Controller conduct rigorous reviews of the Hotels funding utilization to improve liquidity and minimize indebtedness.
- Work alongside the Financial Controller and External Auditors/Tax Advisor to continuously assess the Hotels tax position and propose strategic methods to minimize tax liabilities.
- Enforce and ensure strict adherence to all Accor Finance procedures within the Hotel.
- Proactively manage Eval pack / ADICT compliance in the Hotel with unwavering commitment to excellence.
Qualifications :
- A Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or a closely related field is mandatory
- A minimum of 5 years of extensive accounting experience including comprehensive management of full sets of accounts is essential
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting tax compliance fixed assets management and budgeting is crucial
- Indepth knowledge of Singapores tax regulations GST reporting and statutory compliance is imperative
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
