Job Description
Job Title: Windows System Admin
Location: Lexington MA (Onsite 34 days/week)
Job Type: W2 Contract
Background:
The Information Security Group provides specialized technical and operational threat intelligence and analysis capabilities in support of many challenging technical security issues within the organization. The team seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to work in collaboration with and in direct support of a team of highly skilled Forensic Analysts within the FAC that are experienced in a wide variety of related disciplines that together focus on identifying and mitigating malicious or anomalous activity across all Laboratory networks.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Systems Engineer will serve as the primary Information Technology (IT) support for the Forensic Analysis Center (FAC) and act as the technical liaison between the FAC and other technical sta members. These primary roles will encompass enterprise support and research issues in relation to the FAC’s primary mission to protect Department of Defense (DoD) data and networks.
This position will be responsible for engineering several forensic and testing environments both unclassi ed and classi ed facilitating and controlling backups providing hardware and software solutions designing and architecting security tools in a secure manner overseeing technical procurement and supporting 30 servers performing mission critical operations.
Must Have:
- Advanced knowledge of Windows system administration
- Pro ciency with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Experience with enterprise storage (RAID JBOD NAS SAN etc.
- Experience with enterprise backups and restoration
- Experience with virtualization technologies
- Experience with networking technologies and devices
- Linux and Mac administration experience
- Experience with enterprise forensic tool administration for classified systems
- Advanced enterprise tool deployment management and troubleshooting
- DoD approved 8570 IAT Level II Certi cation (Security GSEC CCNA Security)
- Familiarity with requirements identi ed in the National Industrial Security Operations Manual (NISPOM) regarding the protection of classi ed information systems.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science Information Technology Computer Information Systems or related eld
- Prior experience in a DoD Industrial Security environment
- Information Systems Security O cer (ISSO) experience
- Relevant administration certi cations (RHEL CCNA MCSE)
Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
