Job Description
Safety Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee safety protocols throughout the facility to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Provide training to all employees on safety practices emergency procedures and the use of protective equipment.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents and prepare reports with recommendations for future prevention.
- Collaborate with management to develop and update safety policies and programs as necessary.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and report any violations to management.
- Foster a culture of safety by encouraging employee involvement in safety programs and initiatives.
- Respond to safetyrelated emergencies and act as a point of contact for safety issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical skills to assess safety measures and recommendations.
- A proactive approach to safety and a commitment to fostering a safe working environment.
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in a safety role preferably within a large warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Proven track record of conducting training and safety audits.
- Experience with safety reporting and documentation practices.
