Job Description

Senior ETL Developer (Informatica/MDM focus) Long Term Contract Hybrid role

Contract role

Hybrid: Remote 50 Onsite in Albany NY area

Length: 25 months (April 2027

W2 $67/hr

Level 3 Position

Responsibilities:

Daily activities will include:

  • As part of the product development team you will work in an agile environment and collaborate and develop solutions to solve data integration challenges
  • As part of the Data Migration team you will perform data migration activities to migrate data from legacy systems such as the mainframe extracted data files and databases to a modern data platform.
  • As part of the Data Migration team you will perform activities such as analyzing designing developing testing and deploying Extract Transform and Load (ETL) solutions.
  • As part of the Data Migration team you will perform data preparation activities such as data extraction data analysis data profiling and data cleansing.
  • As part of the Data Conversion team you will perform data conversion activities such as data mapping and data consolidation of duplicate and redundant data.
  • As part of the Data Management team you will monitor daily ETL jobs and processes that identify load and performance issues and determine the resolution and revise the incorrect operational processes.
  • As part of the Data Management team you will create ETL design source to target mapping documents and implementation documentation.
  • Communicate and coordinate with members of the product team to work across multiple projects.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer
  • 7 years of experience working on complex data migration projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Developer performing data extraction data transformation and data loading (ETL) from legacy systems to a modern data platform.
  • 7 years of handson experience in implementing and maintaining data integration and master data management processes using Informatica suite of products such as Informatica PowerCenter Informatica Data Quality and Informatica Master Data Management (MDM).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 7 years of handson experience using Informatica PowerCenter to migrate data from various sources and targets including databases flat files JSON and XML files.
  • 5 years of experience with Data Quality processes approaches measurement techniques and business cases for data analysis data profiling data cleansing data standardization match and merge functionality using Informatica Data Quality.
  • 3 years of handson professional experience performing MDM activities such as data cleansing data ingestion pipelines matching merging deduplication hierarchy management automation and orchestration using Informatica MDM.
  • 5 years of experience in implementing concepts such as Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD Type) and Change Data Capture (CDC) functionality for data migration projects.
  • 7 years of experience developing complex SQL TSQL PL/SQL objects with Oracle 19c or SQL Server 2019 or higher such as stored procedures triggers packages materialized views and performance tuning.
  • 3 years of experience writing complex UNIX shell scripts to validate and ftp files and for scheduling /automating ETL processes.
