Job Summary:
Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
Assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene meal preparation and medication administration
Implementing individualized care plans and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals at all times
Supporting individuals in participating in community activities and social interactions
Documenting observations progress and incidents according to established protocols
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized goals and interventions
Maintaining a clean and organized living environment for individuals
Requiring a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
Preferably having experience working with people with developmental disabilities or similar populations
Beneficial knowledge of dementia care vital signs monitoring HIPAA regulations and nursing home care
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities their families and other team members
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and maintain professional boundaries
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
