Job Description
The Layout Artist will create layout and cameras for 3D environments and shots ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX. .
Main responsibilities:
- Create scene layout in Maya by interpreting the previs or from the Supervisors guidance to build the foundation of the shot and sequence ;
- Work closely with the CG and Layout Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that enhance shots while meeting project specifications and deadlines ;
- Participate in the development of setups for the different stages of production in 3D and solve potential problems ;
- Determine the best possible creative techniques and approaches in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor the Layout Supervisor and the Layout Lead ;
- Keeps colleagues and production informed of the status of work issues to be resolved ramifications of problems encountered ;
- Respect deadlines by managing time adequately.
Qualifications :
- Experience in a similar position within the VFX industry ;
- Good knowledge of Nuke and Maya software ;
- Good knowledge of photography and cinematography language ;
- Basic knowledge of 3DEqualizer ;
- Basic knowledge of onset data wrangling and reality capture ;
- Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines.
