- Assist in the monthly close process to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting including the preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Oversee preparation for yearend audit for Mexico statutory including the bridge between Mexican GAAP and US GAAP
- Support Corporate Tax team to deliver Mexico tax reports and prepare Tax questionnaires for the division including US Mexico and Singapore.
- Provide support to the parent company on accounting and tax related matters
- Review and ensure Pricing Transfer margins are accomplished within the BATH group (US Mexico and Singapore)
- Ensure accuracy of Mexico electronic accounting requirements
- Computing taxes owed and preparing tax returns ensuring compliance with payment reporting or other tax requirements
- Assist with the establishment documentation and continuous improvement of all financial processes
- Ensure SOX compliance and review SOD controls
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures 2.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Oversee the GA accounting team in the US and the tax team in Mexico
- Presenting feedback to leadership regarding risks associated with financial projects and tax regulations for Mexico
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing account information
- Assess the tax impact develop tax arguments to support conclusions and challenge to the different dependencies in Mexico and suggest recommendations to the leadership team
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Support Treasury team with cash flow analysis and banking relationship
- Manage and lead special projects
- Act as a coach and mentor to other associates
- Support the organization in all legal and regulatory procedures (external tax accounting international trade compliance and/or labor advice)
- Representing the Company with third parties as needed including legal representative for all legal entities in Mexico
- Supervise two direct reports (Manager Accounting; Analyst Tax) and 4 subordinates 3 Analysts Accounting; Analyst Tax)
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or foreign equivalent
- Experience: 8 years of experience in accounting and tax including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Mexico Accounting taxation of corporations consolidated entities and Maquila/IMMEX program including tax returns transfer pricing and OPEB data entry management.
- 3 years of experience in leading and completing crossfunctional projects.
- Travel domestically 1015 and internationally to Mexico 3040.
