Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer Bridges to join our team in Manama Bahrain. In this critical role you will oversee the construction and maintenance of complex bridge projects with a focus on marine and cablestayed structures. As the onsite representative of our engineering team you will ensure that all project specifications quality standards and safety regulations are met.
- Manage daytoday operations of bridge construction projects including marine and cablestayed structures
- Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
- Review and approve construction methodologies materials and equipment
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
- Analyze and resolve technical issues that arise during construction
- Prepare detailed progress reports and maintain project documentation
- Ensure compliance with local construction codes safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborate with the design team to implement any necessary modifications or improvements
- Monitor project budgets and schedules recommending adjustments as needed
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Minimum of 15 year of experience in bridge engineering and construction with a focus on marine or cablestayed projects
- Minimum of 5 years experience on cable stayed bridges/Marine bridges.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction management practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent project management skills including budget and schedule control
- Indepth understanding of construction codes and regulations in Bahrain
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to work onsite and travel as required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
