Job Description
We are on the lookout for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our teams within the MarTech domain of Consumer Insights & MarTech tribe on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.
At Delivery Hero youll shape the global consumer experience for millions of users. Your work will have a direct impact on how we attract and retain customers creating datadriven personalized interactions that keep them coming back. As part of our Consumer Team youll enhance customer satisfaction and drive global growth and profitability through innovative projects.
The MarTech domain collaborates with both central and local marketing teams to address global marketing challenges. The teams key responsibilities include budget management campaign optimization and measurement. We create data science solutions to different marketing problems and serve them via backoffice applications.
In this role you will
Have technical ownership of all solutions managed by the team overseeing the architecture and code quality alongside your team members.
Handle urgent issues based on the products tier and ensure swift resolutions.
Be responsible for hiring and onboarding new team members as needed for a crossfunctional (data scientists and software/data engineers) team. Youll hold regular 11s with your direct reports and prioritize their overall wellbeing.
Manage the performance and growth of your team members utilizing methods such as mentoring and coaching to support their development.
Collaborate closely with your product counterpart you will plan and execute the teams work ensuring that OKRs are met. Throughout the process you will address risks blockers and dependencies in a timely manner to keep the team on track.
Qualifications :
You are an experienced engineering leader with a proven track record.
You have handson experience working in crossfunctional teams particularly with machinelearning solutions and userfacing applications.
Youve collaborated with product counterparts and are wellversed in agile methodologies.
You are capable of handling highlevel topics like architecture reliability and cost as well as lowlevel tasks such as coding and bug resolution.
As a bar raiser you foster growth through code & architecture reviews retrospectives & postmortems and providing constructive feedback and encouraging experimentation.
You have experience navigating ambiguous environments and removing uncertainty with examples of breaking down large problems into smaller actionable steps.
You are proficient in English to effectively communicate and perform your role.
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud services (AWS or GCP).
Familiarity with Python/Django JavaScript/React and BigQuery/SQL along with an understanding of the DevOps environment for both engineering and machine learning solutions.
Knowledge of the marketing domain.
