This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experts and progress into NonDomestic BER Assessments with funded training provided for career development.
We are seeking an experienced Senior BER Assessor / Manager to lead Building Energy Rating (BER) assessments across domestic and nondomestic properties. This role involves managing compliance projects mentoring junior assessors and ensuring adherence to Part L of the Building Regulations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape energy efficiency strategies and develop best practices within the organisation.
Lead and manage BER assessments for both domestic and nondomestic buildings.
Oversee building surveys ensuring compliance with TGD Part L & F (NZEB regulations).
Perform detailed Uvalue calculations and condensation risk analysis.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior assessors.
Liaise with clients contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and energy efficiency.
Drive process improvements to enhance assessment accuracy and efficiency.
Stay up to date with legislation industry standards and advancements in building energy performance.
Ensure all work meets SEAI guidelines and statutory regulations.
5 years experience in BER assessments for domestic and nondomestic properties.
Level 7 or higher Qualification in Construction Engineering Architecture or Sustainability.
Registered NonDomestic BER Assessor with SEAI (or willingness to obtain).
Strong understanding of TGD Part L & F NZEB standards and Uvalue calculations.
Proven experience in client management and project leadership.
Advanced IT skills including AutoCAD Microsoft Word and Excel.
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
Strong communication problemsolving and leadership skills.
Experience in team management or mentoring junior assessors.
Knowledge of sustainability certifications (e.g. BREEAM LEED).
Familiarity with heat loss calculations and advanced energy modelling tools.
