Job Description
Job Title: Crisis Therapist Adult Behavioral Health
Location: Southgate MI
Shift Type: Days
Shift Times: MondayThursday 8:30 AM 7:00 PM Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Saturday 9:00 AM 1:00 PM
Pay Range:
- Full License (LMSW LPC etc.: $54171 $73281 (Salary)
- Limited License (LLMSW LLPC etc.: $52026 $68659.50 (Salary)
- SignOn Bonus: $3000
Position Overview:
Crisis Therapists provide essential crisis intervention and intensive case management services to adults 18 experiencing serious mental illness and/or cooccurring substance use disorders. These clients may be at risk of psychiatric hospitalization or have demonstrated a high risk for readmission. The therapist plays a key role in deescalating crises providing timely assessments and connecting individuals to recoverybased services in the least restrictive environment possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use screenings and assessments
- Deliver telehealth and inperson crisis intervention services
- Assist with aftercare planning following inpatient or emergency services
- Coordinate communitybased services and treatment plans
- Offer shortterm solutionfocused therapy and case management
- Develop individualized treatment plans and safety plans
- Collaborate with treatment teams hospitals law enforcement and other providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Provide community outreach and transportation assistance as needed
- Participate in rotating oncall and emergency response coverage
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling
- Active State of Michigan licensure (LMSW LLMSW LPC LLPC or similar)
- Experience in behavioral health and crisis intervention strongly preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends as needed
- Strong collaboration organizational and communication skills
Work Environment:
- The largest program at the organization with over 100 staff members
- Typical caseload includes individuals at high risk of hospitalization
- Work is performed both inoffice and in the field (home visits hospitals community sites)
- Shared oncall coverage for afterhours crisis services
